How do I find my driver at Phuket Airport?+
Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. Before your trip we send you the driver’s name, photo, vehicle photo and licence plate by email and WhatsApp — so you know exactly who you are looking for. If you cannot find each other, message us on WhatsApp and we will connect you immediately.
What happens if my flight is delayed?+
Nothing bad! You give us your flight number when booking, and we track it. Your driver adjusts to the actual landing time at no extra charge. If a delay is very long we will message you with an updated plan.
How do I pay?+
You pay the driver directly at the end of your ride — cash (Thai Baht) or Thai bank transfer. No prepayment, no credit card needed, and the price is exactly what you saw when you booked. Online payment options are coming soon.
Is the price really fixed?+
Yes. The price you see when booking is the full price — it already includes fuel, tolls and airport parking. No meter, no night surcharge surprises, no luggage fees for normal luggage. If your plan changes (extra stop, different hotel), tell us and we confirm any new price before the trip, never during it.
Are your drivers licensed and legal?+
All of them. Every IslandTransfer driver holds a public transport driving licence and drives a legally registered public-service vehicle (yellow plate). We started this platform with drivers we personally know and trust, and every new driver is vetted before joining.
Can I cancel or change my booking?+
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before pick-up — just message us. Within 24 hours, contact us on WhatsApp and we will do our best to help. Changing pick-up time or address is usually no problem at all.
Do you have child seats?+
Child seats are available on request for airport transfers — tell us your child’s age when booking and we will confirm availability. There may be a small extra charge.
My driver speaks Thai — how do we communicate?+
All communication before the trip goes through us in English (and soon Arabic). During the ride, our drivers use translation apps and are used to international guests. For anything complicated, message our support chat and we will translate and coordinate for you in real time.
Why book with IslandTransfer instead of a big app?+
Because you get a person, not an algorithm. Our drivers are local Phuket people we personally selected — not anonymous gig workers. Prices are fixed before you book. And when something goes wrong at 11 pm, a real human who knows your booking answers you. We are a small local network, and we like it that way.
How far in advance should I book?+
We recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead so we can guarantee your preferred vehicle. We confirm your driver within 6 hours — usually much faster during Thai daytime. Last-minute? Message us on WhatsApp and we will try our best.
Do you offer Muslim-friendly drivers?+
Yes. Many of our drivers are Thai Muslims from Phuket’s local communities. They can recommend halal restaurants and mosques, and are happy to plan trips around prayer times — just mention it when booking.
